LORIOPE or OPHIOPOGON
Also called Lily Turf & Mondo Grass.They from clumps or tufts of grass like leaves. White & Lavender color flowers grow in spikelike or branched clusters. Use as a ground cover in small areas, also attractive as borders along walkways or between flower beds and lawn.
Plant in the shade. Colors range from black to green also comes varigated.

SHRUB OF THE MONTH
Skimma Japonica
Evergreen, slow growing, compact with glossy rich green leaves. Clusters of tiny white flowers in April & May. Bright red berries in the fall & winter. Need a male and female plant for pollination. Will grow in medium to light shade if to much sun the leaves will turn yellow. Needs to have good soil amendments, if you plant in the sand. Fertilize in the spring and fall with a good organic food(Down to Earth). is the brand we recommend. Good low shrub for under windows or to line an entrance way, also works well in containers.
